Miracle snack shop 기적의 분식집 is a dating simulation visual novel video game with restaurant management game mechanics and mature romance scenes. The plot follows Seolhwa Cha, who opens up the small eatery he was lent to be able to pay off his debt. One day, a portal suddenly opened in his shop’s attic and a strange-looking woman who calls herself Queen Salt comes out, meeting him and eventually coming back to sample his surprisingly-delicious bingsu or Korean shaved ice—thus starting a strange friendship and romance for this simple snack shop owner. The game is more focused on the story rather than the management and cooking mechanic, and the mature scenes aren’t so explicit. However, for a Korean VN, this did incredulously well and was followed by a great sequel. Highly recommended for visual novel and dating sim fans who’d like to try some short but good games.
